Our objective with this video sketch was to get across a classic grammar point in a fresh and fun way, which had particular resonance with students of today.

We chose the modern and widely used cultural reference of social media, specifically Facebook and Instagram. As well as being appealing and familiar contexts for most students, they also have quickly recognised defining characteristics which students associate each with. By linking their differences to those of ser/estar, students have an instant easy-to-remember rule.

The grammar video can be used in your Spanish class along with the worksheet, which includes a sequence of work containing an explanation of the grammar content.
